My old case had been dropped a few times and was cracked, so I chose the new Rebel case. It has a bit more padding than the old case. It does not have the flip out stand for watching videos, but I rarely used that. Overall, I am happy with the new case.

The case is exactly what I thought it would be, the back protects camera. Fits very tight and buttons are easy to push. Highly recommend.
