I will say that the warranty is outstanding. My clip broke and after a short form and a copy of the purchase receipt, a replacement was sent right out.
As far as the clip itself, it is a bad design and the only option for a Fre case. The belt clip frequently falls off my belt getting into the car. Any upward pressure and the clip simply releases from the belt. My last case was a otterbox defender and the clip had a “J” shape that would not release. When my Fre case wears out I will be going back to the defender.
